About
Michael is a marine engineer whose work spans the machinery that keeps vessels and offshore assets moving — main engines, generators, boilers, hydraulics and fuel transfer systems. His approach is methodical: preventive maintenance first, clear documentation always, and a calm head when something fails at 3 a.m. in heavy seas.
He is presently engaged with Phoenix Petroleum Ltd on a one-year contract in Norway, supporting petroleum operations in the North Sea region. Between rotations he returns home to Franklin Square, New York.
Focus areas
Propulsion & power
Diesel engines, generators and shafting — inspection, overhaul and performance monitoring.
Offshore petroleum ops
Pumping, fuel transfer and auxiliary systems supporting petroleum operations at sea.
Safety & compliance
Class surveys, planned maintenance systems and safe-working practice on board.
